Taylor Swift, a young women of merely 20, has had a lifetime worth of dreams fulfilled within only a short amount of time. Born on December 13th, 1989 in Wyomissing, PA, she began to perform at the age of 10. At 12, she finally picked up a guitar and taught herself to play. Her parents realized her amazing talents and moved near Nashville, TN where she was signed to a brand new record label at 16. Taylor is known for her beautiful curly hair, and her catchy and upbeat tunes about love. Her first single, “Tim McGraw” soon became a hit, which followed by her debut album “Taylor Swift.” The album soon hit top charts, surpassing many other infamous artists. Taylor’s inspiration mainly hits home because her grandmother was an opera singer. Taylor is also inspired by singers like Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, Tim McGraw, and Country female artists from the ‘90’s. Inspiration for her songs comes naturally; mostly writing about love, heartbreak, and life in its simplest form. Writing songs usually take Taylor only a few hours, and sometimes only a half hour.
Taylor Swift has been nominated and has won many different awards, such as best female music video, from many different areas, like the AMA’s and the CMA’s. One of the best known spoofs of not only 2009 but in Taylor Swift’s career, was at the VMA’s. Taylor Swift had just won the best female music video and went up stage to thank everyone. Kanye West, a well-known rap artist was close by in the seats. Unexpectedly, he jumped up on stage and stole the microphone from the unknowing Taylor Swift. “Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of
all time. One of the best videos of all time!,” Taylor, along with the rest of the crowd was dumbfounded. Boos soon were heard and Taylor Swift stood on the stage, but soon left, not even able to finish her acceptance speech. Kanye West was then kicked out of the VMA’s until his public apology on Twitter and the Jay Leno show. Beyonce later won an award, and instead of basking in the glory, asked Taylor to come on stage and finish her speech.
Taylor Swift has been in only a couple public relationships, and only one leaving her in heartbreak. Joe Jonas, a singer in The Jonas Brothers, had a summer romance with Taylor. The infamous “27 second phone call” was heard all around, and the legitimacy of it speculated everyw
here. Both soon moved on, and things were finally settled. Recently, Taylor dated Twilight co-star, Taylor Lautner. The two met on the set of their movie “Valentine’s Day,” and sparks flew from there. Unfortunately, things broke off due to Taylor Lautner having more feelings for Taylor Swift than she did for him. Taylor Swift has been known to her fans as being very down to earth, laid back, and a genuine celebrity. Taylor has donated money to a few organizations, and even her own prom dress. Being charitable seems to be a big deal in Taylor Swift’s life, and she’s on her way to achieving it.
